CAP Policy Fellow Patrick Kilbride’s Op-Ed in IPWatchdog on Biopharmaceutical Innovation and Patents

Center for American Principles Policy Fellow Patrick Kilbride recently published an Op-Ed in IPWatchdog on the importance of patents to America’s biopharmaceutical innovation ecosystem.

Kilbride writes that strong patent protections enable the investment and risk-taking necessary to develop new medicines, improve existing treatments, and advance future medical breakthroughs. He argues that weakening intellectual property rights would threaten the innovation ecosystem responsible for many of the life-saving therapies available to patients today.
